This position is based in Plano, TX. Successful candidates must live in Texas, and Toyota encourages all team members to live within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned work location. Who we're looking for
Toyota and Lexus' Brand Engagement Center (BEC) is looking for a highly motivated and passionate intern to work in our world-class contact center. The skills you acquire will be invaluable for your career.
The primary responsibility of this role requires you to interface with Toyota and Lexus owners, dealerships, and field/area offices regarding inquiries and/or complaints to positively impact owner satisfaction and retention.
This position provides an excellent overall foundation for team members with particular emphasis in the areas of product knowledge, expectations of Toyota and Lexus guests, and overall workings of the company.

What you'll be doing
Toyota Customer Brand Engagement Center Internship Program provides college students with exposure to the automotive industry while working in a corporate environment in our facilities in Plano, Texas.
  • During your internship, you will receive six weeks of comprehensive training on Toyota (possibly Lexus) vehicles, policies, products and services, communications, problem solving and negotiation, and customer satisfaction. This will be followed by an additional six weeks of taking guest calls with the support of a supervisor, the training team and quality assurance team. This six-week time allows you to learn the job in greater detail while actually working the job.
  • Your primary role will be to act as a liaison between Toyota/Lexus owners, prospective owners, dealerships, area offices and headquarters.
  • You will be expected to evaluate customer inquiries/concerns, (i.e. financial assistance, dealer sales, service or product related concerns), and determine the appropriate action to positively impact owner satisfaction and retention.
  • Our Toyota Customer Brand Engagement Center is one of the key departments that offers entry-level positions with tremendous opportunity to learn about our products and the inner workings of the company.
  • As an Intern, your overall mission is to "Build Lifetime Advocates for Toyota/Lexus".
  • Your role will support the department's objective to provide world-class customer service to Toyota/Lexus owners and future buyers.

What the Internship schedule will look like:
  • The Toyota Customer Brand Engagement Center (BEC) Internship is full-time, (40 hours/week), 12-week program during the summer months, and part-time during the school year.
  • The first 12-week program schedule is Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm CST at our Plano location.
  • Based on performance and business needs, during the school year, you may be selected to work part-time, (12-15 hours per week), on a variable schedule.
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May 2025 through May 2026. Availability before and after major holidays is required. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
  • The BEC Contact Center hours are: Monday-Friday from 7 am-7 pm CST & Saturday from 8 am-6 pm CST

  • Ability to formulate and present recommendations regarding functional and technical solutions that improve business processes, enhance user experience, or reduce operating expenses

Toyota College Programs Eligibility:
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited bachelor's degree program (or higher) studying: Finance, Business, Engineering, Technology or equivalent (required)
  • Available to work full-time during the Summer 2025 term
  • GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Lawful, unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future
  • Reliable transportation as you may be traveling among our various facilities
