Key responsibilities

  • Own features from technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs powering enterprise-facing applications.

  • Deploy and operate production systems in cloud environments, with a focus on reliability and scale.

Job description

An early-stage, well-funded startup building infrastructure in the AI reliability space. Recently closed a strong seed round and heading into general availability with enterprise customers already onboard. You'd be joining at the point where the product starts hitting real scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own features from technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs powering enterprise-facing applications
  • Deploy and operate production systems in cloud environments, with a focus on reliability and scale
  • Contribute frontend work where needed to ship complete, user-facing features
  • Model and manage application data with clean, well-structured design
  • Partner closely with leadership and engineering to translate product goals into pragmatic solutions
  • Help shape technical direction in a category that's still being defined
What we're looking for

- 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production web applications

- Experience building and shipping user-facing products end-to-end

- Strong backend/API experience, including REST and GraphQL

- Strong proficiency in Python, React, and PostgreSQL

- Experience in a VC-backed startup or growth-stage environment preferred

- Healthcare, mental health, or benefits platform experience is a plus

- Strong product mindset and ability to collaborate closely with product and design

- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Remote within the US or Canada

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend-leaning full-stack experience shipping production web applications
  • Strong Python and modern backend framework experience
  • Hands-on experience deploying and scaling systems in cloud environments (handling real traffic, not just toy deployments)
  • Frontend comfort with a modern component-based framework
  • Track record of high ownership in a small team (built and shipped features end-to-end, not just owned a narrow slice)
  • Comfortable working with AI coding tools as part of an everyday workflow
  • Bonus: exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, developer tooling, agent frameworks, or replayable evaluation environments (e.g. Strandloop)
  • Strong communication and the ability to take feedback and run with it
  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Remote, East Coast hours. Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.
