About the Role

As the Sales Director, Cleaning and Facility Solutions at Grand & Toy, you will lead our national sales strategy for cleaning, facility and breakroom solutions. You will bring an owner’s mindset to strengthening our capabilities, accelerating growth, and deepening vendor and customer partnerships across Canada.

In this role, you will shape the go‑to‑market strategy, translate it into clear, actionable plans, and lead a hybrid sales model of general line representatives and specialist resources. You’ll combine hands‑on leadership with data‑driven decision making to drive new business, expand existing client relationships, and deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

As a key member of the sales leadership team, you will collaborate cross‑functionally to influence solutions, align execution, and ensure we meet the evolving needs of our customers in the cleaning and facilities space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the national sales strategy for cleaning, facility and breakroom solutions, delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Account Executives and Sales Managers, building strong category expertise and solution‑selling capability.
  • Drive new business and expansion within key, multi‑site and national accounts, including high‑value presentations and contract negotiations.
  • Leverage a hybrid sales model, coordinating generalists and specialists to maximize coverage and results.
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting and KPIs with rigor, ensuring accountability, follow‑through and predictable performance.
  • Deepen relationships with key customers and vendor partners to strengthen our market position and offerings.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, Merchandising and other partners to align go‑to‑market plans and execution.
  • Own financial oversight for this portfolio, including revenue, budget and profitability, using market and performance insights to optimize results.

Who You Are

  • Strategic Sales Leader – Proven experience leading B2B sales teams, ideally in cleaning, facilities, jan/san, workplace or related solutions, with a strong track record of delivering growth.
  • Data‑Driven Operator – Deep understanding of funnel, pipeline and forecasting metrics; comfortable managing the business through data and KPIs.
  • Business Developer – Skilled at driving new business acquisition and expanding strategic accounts, including complex, multi‑site and national customers.
  • People Leader & Coach – Experience hiring, building and developing high‑performing sales teams; ideally managing both managers and individual contributors.
  • Commercially Savvy – Strong negotiation skills and experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder deal cycles and long‑term contracts.
  • Collaborative Communicator – Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
