  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 6+ years of Civil / Structural engineering experience
  • Experience working at a Construction / Civil / Structural Consulting Firm
  • Willingness to travel for 50% of the role


Position Summary:

  • Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Glennville, GA area who is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer who will lead the development and review of design packages for capital projects. Manage assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery within established schedules and budgets. Direct design activities performed both in-house and by external engineering consultants, while coordinating teams to maintain structural integrity and ensure effective project execution throughout all phases.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and quality control requirements.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews, working closely with Safety and Environmental teams to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide engineering support during construction by responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing contractor submittals, and conducting field inspections to verify design compliance.
  • Develop and maintain complete engineering documentation, including design calculations, technical specifications, reports, and supporting project records.
  • Lead the development and review of structural and civil engineering design packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
  • Transform engineering concepts and preliminary sketches into complete construction documents, including plans, sections, details, and related design deliverables.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities with architectural, mechanical, civil, and external engineering teams to ensure integrated, efficient, and on-schedule project execution.
  • Perform technical design reviews to validate engineering accuracy, constructability, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety requirements.
