We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

Manage and support National Campus events services administratively and operationally.

  • Assist in all daily tournament operations, facility, and administrative needs 
  • Serve as the on-site events team contact for all assigned events, including preparing the event for the day, assisting with all needs in the TA center, communications to the Tournament organizer and players on site, communications to courts & grounds team & MOD, and updates through the Campus Update chat
  • Coordinate assigned meetings held at the National Campus.  Ensure on-site quality control for internal and external meetings in multipurpose rooms- manage meeting space set up and breakdown, food & beverage orders
  • Serve as primary contact for assigned amateur, pro, adult, junior tournaments as well as charitable & special events.
  • Assist in implementing operational plans for assigned events.
  • Serve as Tournament Director, Competition Director or Tournament Staff for USTA National Campus-run events as assigned.
  • Provide Communication with tournament/event participants before, during, and after each event 
  • Liaise with players of varying backgrounds and levels of playing ability (Jr., Collegiate, Adult, Professional, Wheelchair)
  • Support Event Operations with live scoring and scoreboard operations as requested
  • Assist Senior Manager and the events department with event proposals, contracts, site inspections, and pre-event meetings
  • Assist with community & partnership events as needed
  • Work cross-functionally as requested
  • Other Duties as assigned
  

Who You Are

  • Computer Skills -  Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms & Presentations), Serve Tennis, and other programs as needed
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be available to work weekends and overtime occasionally

  • High level of organization and attention to details
  • This position is designated as "on-site" and requires the employee to be at the office site to complete the required tasks associated with the position on designated setup and event days

The expected range for the annual base salary for this position is $45,000 - $47,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
