THE JOB
Job Title
  • Merchandise Manager (part time)

Job Description
Are you someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment? Do you enjoy live music? Do you take pride in successfully leading a team to accomplish a common goal? Then, the Live Nation Merchandise Manager position may be the right opportunity for you. The Merchandise Manager is the direct link between the artist's representative(s) and the venue, overseeing the successful operation of all on-site artist/tour merchandise outlets. The Merchandise Manager establishes and leads a highly motivated team of merchandise specialists who inventory, distribute, and display each piece of artist merchandise with pride. Throughout the show, the Merchandise Manager monitors inventory levels and requests additional stock as required, all while motivating the team to quickly and carefully fulfill each guest's order. After the show is over, the Merchandise Manager oversees the team as they reassemble and inventory the remaining merchandise. The Merchandise Manager then settles with the artist representatives and completes settlement reports. Once reconciliation is complete and the merchandise returned to the artist, the Merchandise Manager heads home, knowing the team successfully supported another show in merchandise operations
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Objectives of the Role
  • Serve as a liaison amongst Artist/Tour Representative(s), Venue Management, and Merchandise Specialists team.

  • Oversee team of Merchandise Specialists to ensure an exceptional merchandise purchasing experience for all guests and fans in Live Nation venues

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Live Nation, its local sponsors, and the venue

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Communicate with Artist/Tour Representative to advance product line for upcoming event(s)

  • Develop Merchandise Specialist schedule based on event projections

  • Oversee inventory count-in and count-out procedures

  • Support successful sales operations at each event by training, mentoring, and motivating Merchandise Specialists team

  • Ensure merchandise stands always remain clean and presentable and displays meet or exceed expectations

  • Perform physical duties as required by the role, such as moving equipment or transferring merchandise between locations

  • Complete all required reports in a timely manner, including pre-show, post-show, and payroll reports

  • Communicate with Venue Management and Regional Merchandise Management team

  • Ensure team compliance with Live Nation policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations

Experience
  • Event merchandising positions desirable

  • Positions that leverage customer service or hospitality

  • Prior experience is not as important as the appropriate attitude and interpersonal skills

Job Requirements
  • Must be able to available for the entire concert day, with shifts as long as 15 hours (with breaks)

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to a 50-pound box

  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments in potentially extreme temperatures

  • Must have a working understanding of touch-screen based systems

  • Must be of legal working age in the state
