Job description

Role Summary:

The position is responsible for providing guided nature, birding and wildlife tours. Ability to identify South Texas Birds including resident and migratory species.

What to Expect in the Role:
    Guide nature, birding and wildlife tours.
    Provide routine care of VPS vehicles, including cleaning, filling with fuel, checking tires and oil.

What We Will Be Needing From You: 
    High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
    Ability to learn the history of the Ranch and current operations and conduct tours of King Ranch by providing       accurate information in an interesting way to our visitors.  
    Experienced birder, ability to identify birds on the King Ranch checklist.
    Have a general knowledge about area wildlife and conservation practices. 
    Ability to be courteous towards visitors and staff in a Texas Friendly environment.
    Possess excellent customer service skills.
    Must be willing to follow department guidelines for grooming and dress.
    Must have a valid drivers' license in good standing, possess the appropriate type driver's license and can drive tour vehicles in a safe manner.
