Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tour Guide holds the primary responsibility of delivering engaging tours to guests of Citizens Bank Park. As a Phillies official ambassador, the tour guide will deliver an exceptional experience to our guests while sharing the history, facts and appeal of Citizens Bank Park and The Phillies. Candidates should be comfortable speaking in public to large groups and have experience in a customer-facing environment.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Greet all guests promptly at scheduled tour times.
  • Determine if any guests have physical restrictions that should be considered and reasonably accommodated.
  • Lead ballpark tours moving around Citizens Bank Park with a significant amount of standing, walking and talking to individuals and groups.
  • Clearly and articulately provide the history, facts and appeal of Citizens Bank Park to guests.
  • Remain calm, friendly, and enthusiastic at all times.
  • Keep the tour moving on schedule, while still being considerate to guests.
  • Knowledgeable of all safety and security protocols, should they be needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Availability to work weekday daytime hours (Monday–Friday, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM), with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed. Typical shifts include leading up to two 90-minute tours per day.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week, with the potential to work up to 6 days per week during busy weeks.
  • Ability to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills with fans, visitors and employees.
  • The ability to share information verbally with fans, visitors, and employees that is clear, accurate and within Tour Guide guidelines.
  • Ability to remain calm and collected when dealing with difficult guests.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Must successfully complete all required training for the role.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor stadium environment, including the ability to stand, walk and talk for the duration of tours.
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs.
