Job description

Urban Self Storage is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive success.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong customer relationships, developing high-performing teams, and making a direct impact on business results.
This is a full-time position with a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, averaging approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility
  • Ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained, including tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pickup, changing light bulbs, pulling weeds, and ensuring all aspects of the facility are in working order
  • Organize and delegate tasks to team members
  • Coordinate with vendors to complete repairs and improvements in a timely manner
  • Build relationships within local apartment communities and businesses to support referral partnerships
  • Handle customer accounts, including delinquency actions, overlock placement, lock cutting/drilling for delinquent units in accordance with company procedures, and lock removal at customer request
  • Tour storage spaces and assist customers throughout the rental process
  • Manage daily deposits, cash counts, and petty cash
  • Collaborate positively with team members and leadership
  • Manage assigned KPIs to meet budget, occupancy, and rental goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through professional in-person, phone, and email communication
  • Conduct regular property walks and security checks throughout the facility

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays as business needs require
  • Proficiency using computers, mobile devices, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and property management software, including accurate data entry and management of digital customer records.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Prior management or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong listening skills and ability to follow direction
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to read computer screens, review digital records, and complete data entry and typing tasks accurately
  • Ability to learn and utilize property management software, communication platforms, and other business systems necessary for daily operations

Compensation:
  • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
