About the role:
As an International Logistics Coordinator for TQL Global, you will be instrumental in the growth and development of the ocean freight forwarding business of TQL Global. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of ocean shipments, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality customer experiences.

What you'll be doing:
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of ocean shipments, from booking through delivery, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods in order to deliver high-quality customer experience
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and other service providers to arrange and confirm shipment details, including container booking, vessel schedules, cargo pick-up, tracking and tracing and confirming delivery
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, export/import declarations and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure proper clearance of shipments, resolving any control or compliance issues as needed
  • Coordinate with overseas partners to ensure smooth clearance and delivery in destination countries
  • Track and monitor the status of shipments, providing regular updates on shipment progress and problem solving for any potential delays or issues
  • Coordinate with internal departments to address client inquiries, provide support and resolve shipment-related issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking information, documentation and financial data, using appropriate systems and software
  • Adhere to internal and external KPIs and deliver exceptional compliance audit scores
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in ocean transportation and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their needs and providing solutions promptly and professionally

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean operations in a freight forwarding or logistics environment
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, regulations, INCO terms and international trade practices
  • Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors and internal teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
