Job description

Coordinator, Transportation
Do you have what it takes to help Torani infuse flavor all over the world? We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator who thrives on coordination, problem-solving, and cross-functional partnership. Although you might not be an expert in all areas of transportation (yet!), you are excited to expand on your current experience with freight. With a growing knowledge of transportation & coordination, amazing communication skills, and dedication to accuracy, you help ensure our customers are happy and our team is aware of important transportation details.
As part of the Transportation team, you serve as a key connector between Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, and our third-party partners. You work cross-functionally to ensure product is systemically available to wave orders to the warehouse and that freight moves on time, to the right location, on the right dates, and at the right cost.
While transportation is a core focus, this role is intentionally flexible. You will support both tactical execution (daily carrier status, booking freight, routing, waving, documentation) and broader coordination as Torani continues to evolve its transportation capabilities. You may not be an expert in everything on day one, but you are curious, adaptable, and eager to grow!
Why You'll Love Working Here: You'll play a visible, high-impact role in getting Torani products to customers across the globe. Your work directly supports multiple teams, giving you broad exposure across the business. No two days look the same-priorities shift, challenges pop up, and you're trusted to figure it out. You'll be empowered to grow your transportation and supply chain skill set as the department evolves. You'll work with a collaborative, supportive team that values accuracy, accountability, and having fun while getting the job done.
Success Factors (First 12-24 Months)
  • Transportation & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate daily shipments to meet customer, carrier, and warehouse requirements. Book and manage freight carriers, route retail orders, and book/confirm scheduling appointments for customers. Create, maintain, and update accurate shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading and Proofs of Delivery. Schedule, track, and monitor shipments, proactively communicating delays or exceptions and following up with carriers to prevent same-day rollovers. When orders change, adjust pickup times, routing, and documentation while ensuring all relevant teams are informed. Maintain strong carrier relationships and assist with freight quotes, RMAs, and carrier claims as needed. Maintain order logs for high-volume customers by assigning ship dates and tracking shipment status. Support daily dock checks to confirm shipped versus unshipped orders and ensure remaining staged orders are scheduled for a future ship date.
  • Order Waving & Warehouse Coordination: Accurately wave orders to the warehouse based on shipping schedules and customer requirements. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate ad hoc inventory movements, ensuring product is available so it can be properly allocated for order waving. Work with Customer Service to ensure orders are released on time and communicate any adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation, Systems & Data Accuracy: Ensure all transportation and order data is accurately recorded in Torani's transportation systems. Maintain complete and up-to-date shipment records and logs. Collect, store, and manage all Bills of Lading and Proofs of Delivery so they are readily accessible for full team visibility. Support the tracking and improvement of monthly transportation KPIs, proactively identifying any abnormalities or trends. Assist with documentation audits as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • You Bring the Fun: You show up with a positive outlook and create a ripple effect of joy across the team.

What You'll Bring:
  • Experience working with freight carriers, transportation coordination, or warehouse operations (1+ year preferred).
  • Experience with a large ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Manhattan). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
  • Some exposure to transportation KPIs, freight claims, or document auditing.

Pay Range: $29.72 - $33.01/ hour
