Job description

The Political Science Discipline at St. Norbert College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position (beginning in August 2026) with a specialization in the areas of Public Law and American Government. Candidates should either be ABD or hold a Ph.D. and be enthusiastic about teaching both introductory and upper-level courses, including Courts, Constitutional Law, Civil Liberties, and introductory American Politics. The ability to teach upper-level courses in parties, elections, Congress, and/or the presidency is a plus.The position includes assisting with pre-law advisement. The teaching load is three courses per semester, which includes typically two introductory courses and one upper division course per semester. The position is offered as a three-year contract, contingent on positive annual performance reviews and institutional needs, with the possibility of renewal.
Please note that this is an on-site role requiring full-time on-campus attendance.
