Alston & Bird is recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join the firm! ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Under direction of the Director of Human Resources and Assistant Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Assistant performs a variety of duties in support of a dynamic, national team of HR professionals dedicated to the firm's staff and attorneys. This role has extensive contact inside and outside the firm, therefore this individual should be clear in their communication, able to pivot from various tasks, and ready to provide TOP ECHELON service. The following responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee endtoend recruiting for professional staff positions.
  • Collaborates with the Talent Acquisition team, hiring leaders, and candidates to schedule interviews.
  • Identify qualified candidates for open roles through the utilization of various sourcing methods including job boards, networking, and referrals.
  • Process candidate background screenings, including conducting reference calls.
  • Assists Talent Acquisition Team with interviews, new hire paperwork, and onboarding.
  • Conducts phone interviews as needed at the request of the T.A. team.
  • Updates recruiting tracking metric as needed.
  • Coordinates meetings and spaces as needed.
  • Additional duties as requested.

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • A positive attitude with a can-do work ethic.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with varying levels inside and outside the firm.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of recruiting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in legal or professional services environment strongly preferred.
