Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Meets warehouse financial standards by monitoring operational best practices and maintaining efficiency.
  • Meets safety goals by ensuring 100% compliance with company Safety Program.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
  • Secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse operational improvements.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Directly responsible for leading and managing a crew for 5-6 employees

Required Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years as a Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Proficient with all MS office programs
  • Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Experienced analyzing data and reporting

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge, CBP Security Seal, Airport Driver Permit, and/or any local or security level badging needed to fulfill the assignment.
  • Travel: 80-90% travel is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.
