Job description

Building Proof of Humanity for the AI Era
Powering Privacy-Preserving Identity at Global Scale
Tools for Humanity is helping build a real human network for the age of AI. Through products like World ID, World App, and the Orb, the company enables people, institutions, and applications to verify real humans while preserving privacy-creating a new foundational layer for the internet as autonomous agents and AI reshape digital life.
Tools for Humanity is hiring a Product Counsel to join its growing legal team and partner directly with product and engineering leaders across a rapidly scaling global platform. This role sits at the intersection of technology, policy, and product execution, advising across AI, biometrics, privacy, digital assets, consumer protection, and financial regulation.
In this role, Product Counsel will serve as a core legal partner throughout the full product lifecycle-helping ship new features responsibly, identifying and mitigating regulatory and safety risks, and building scalable legal processes that support rapid innovation. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Policy, Marketing, and external advisors to draft terms and policies, guide go-to-market strategies, and shape legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of product counsel experience in technology or financial services, with working knowledge across areas such as AI, blockchain, privacy, biometrics, IP, consumer protection, or online safety. You are analytically strong, operationally minded, and comfortable leading complex cross-functional initiatives in fast-moving environments. This is a role for a proactive legal partner who enjoys building alongside ambitious product teams and helping define entirely new categories.
