Job description

AlphaGraphics is a locally owned printing and marketing communications company seeking a career-orientated general manager to oversee our business center; including customer service, sales, design and production. Responsibilities:


  • Implements the vision and business plan of the Franchisee on a day to day basis
  • Oversees and manages the overall day-to-day operations of the business
  • Implements principals of lean manufacturing and workflow processes along with other policies, procedures and goals
  • Maintains strong relationships with vendors and coordinates purchasing efforts to ensure adequate paper, toner and other materials are in inventory to complete jobs on time
  • Knows and understands the capabilities of the print and bindery equipment and uses this knowledge to efficiently schedule production
  • Maintains relationships with trade printers and binderies and manages sublet vendors as required
  • Provides support to the outside and inside sales team; serves as a liaison between sales and operations ensuring on-time delivery of products and services
  • Assists in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the brand and the center
  • Coordinates activities of departments such as operations, production, sales to affect operational efficiency and economy
  • Creates an environment that motivates the team to increase sales while focusing on quality and customer service
  • Hires, trains, and develops personnel

Requirements:


  • Must be very structured and process-oriented
  • Must have experience operating digital printers, wide format and bindery equipment
  • Must be able to implement policies and procedures
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products. 
  • Above average in computer systems including Macintosh and PC computers
  • Prefer experience with design software
  • Experience with direct mail and variable data projects are preferred
  • Must be able to effectively communicate internally through verbal and written communications.
  • 5-10 years print industry management experience preferred
