Job description

We're currently looking for a Store Manager to join our team and play a critical part in our daily operations. This dynamic role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the assigned location to drive maximum sales and profitability through effective expense management. Key responsibilities include leadership and staff management, ensuring health and safety compliance, and optimizing financial performance and productivity.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage stock orders, inventory levels, and place orders while ensuring store compliance with company policies and laws
  • Supervise team members to follow procedures, promptly report and investigate incidents, and assist with sales calls and visits
  • Collaborate with manufacturers' reps for product information and ensure maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Set sales goals based on store budgets, manage pricing in line with company policies and competitors, and report financial data to Corporate
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations, analyze financial statements, and assess store performance
  • Lead by example, maintain performance standards, and handle hiring, onboarding, and employee records
  • Implement and document disciplinary actions, train and motivate staff, and resolve conflicts
  • Oversee payroll, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure adherence to safety regulations (Pomp's, OSHA, DOT)
  • Manage safety equipment distribution and training programs
  • Perform other duties as needed

What You Need:
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's file
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • TIA/Bandag certification as appropriate, or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience required
  • 5 years of experience in tire sales and services preferred
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information
  • Familiarity with MaddenCo software system is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external customers and co-workers
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift, push, or move 100 pounds
