Job description

Tinker Federal Credit Union's Records Management department has an immediate opening for a Collateral Specialist I! This is an exciting opportunity to join the largest and best credit union in Oklahoma! We offer competitive pay, a robust benefits package, a "smart casual dress code" and much more! As a Collateral Specialist I, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for assisting membership and branch employees with questions and problems concerning titles, liens, sight drafts and paid loans.
  • Responsible for processing and reviewing collateral secured paid in full loans and ensure TFCU's lien has been released properly.
  • Responsible for processing and reviewing all lien filings to ensure TFCU's collateral is protected.
  • Analyze and authorize collateral releases to minimize loan deficiency and maximize the funds to be applied before processing a release of collateral.
  • Regularly interface with credit union management, departments, other credit union employees, and members as required.

Salary Range:
This is a non-exempt position. The starting hourly range is $20.00 - 25.00; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM. Rotating Saturday's from 9:00AM-12:00PM
Education/Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent for all levels is required. One year of experience related to work of this position and with a Credit Union is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  1. Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU's chosen authority.

In order to be successful as a Collateral Specialist I, you must possess these qualifications:
  • Knowledge of TFCU policies and procedures.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making.
