Employment Status:  Student Intern (EOP Experiential Learning)

Reports To:                     Shipping & Receiving, Course Materials Manager, Bookstore Manager

Internship Overview

This internship is a structured experiential learning opportunity aligned with SUNY Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) requirements, combining supervised work experience with defined learning outcomes to support student development and career readiness.

Time Commitment & Hour Requirements

Weekly Hours: 10–15 hours per week

Total Hours: 150–180 hours per semester (aligned with SUNY EOP requirements)

Schedule determined in coordination with supervisor

Job Statement

The Receiving Clerk Intern supports the daily operations of the MCC Bookstore by assisting with order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory processing for textbooks, clothing, and gift merchandise.

Specific Functions & Responsibilities

Sort orders by location and payment type

Pick, fulfill, and process orders

Prepare and box orders for pickup or shipping

Unpack and process incoming shipments

Stock merchandise and maintain organized inventory areas

Assist with store pickup order management

Perform additional duties as assigned
