Job description

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.
Bookstore Lead.....is a part-time position that will manage bookstore volunteers performing the duties with the intention of creating a safe and inviting environment for attendees to deepen their relationship with Jesus. This position will also work alongside Chesterfield campus staff and pastoral team to facilitate and shepherd the spiritual growth of our church community through resources available in the bookstore.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all guests in the bookstore by having volunteer team that are hospitable, familiar and knowledgeable about bookstore resources
  • Recruiting, training, leading and shepherding volunteers. including scheduling, cultivating a volunteer environment where volunteers feel equipped, empowered, connected and celebrated
  • Coordinate with campus staff and inventory specialist when a pop-up bookstore is necessary for Explorations
  • Coordinate with Spiritual Oversight Team if additional resources are requested by pastoral team, teachers or ministries at The Crossing
  • Attend monthly Staff meetings/chapels at the Chesterfield Campus
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
