Part-Time Bookstore Clerk - Pool - Harrison County Campus
Job Description
Perform general cashiering duties, assist students and Faculty. In addition, assist day-to-day bookstore operations. Reports to the bookstore manager.
Job Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with cashiering duties.
• Assist students by issuing textbooks, securing required materials and return of books.
• Inspect and repair books as needed.
• Telephone and counter sales inquiries.
• Assist with receiving merchandise, textbooks and instructional materials.
• Assist with inventory by straightening and re-stocking of sales floor merchandise.
• Pricing and displaying of merchandise as directed.
• File student book service receipts.
• Other duties as assigned by Bookstore Managers.
Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY: M (1) High School Diploma or High School Equivalency. M (2) Must be proficient in the operation of personal computers. M (3) Experience working with the public and good communication skills. M (4) Cashiering experience on a point-of-sale system. M (5) Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE: D (1) Experience in an educational environment. D (2) Experience with WinPRISM and BANNER Software Systems. D (3) Experience using serialization, conducting inventory and using inventory control software.
