A timber mill, also known as a sawmill, is a facility where logs are processed into lumber and other wood products. At a timber mill, raw timber is cut, shaped, and sometimes treated to produce boards, planks, beams, and other materials used in construction and manufacturing. The process typically involves debarking, sawing, drying, and finishing the wood to meet specific standards. Timber mills play a crucial role in the supply chain for the building, furniture, and paper industries. Safety and environmental responsibility are also important aspects of modern timber mill operations.
