Position Summary:
Increase overall revenue of AAA Hoosier Motor Club Service Center through the sales and promotion of products, services, and preferred travel vendors to members and clients, while meeting the highest AAA National Quality Standards. Utilize in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and travel offerings in all daily activities to drive performance and member satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recommend and sell a variety of travel products and services, including airline ticketing, cruises, tours, all-inclusive hotel packages, rail tickets, car rentals, travel insurance, passport photos, and International Driving Permits/Inter America Driving Licenses, for both international and domestic travel.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of preferred cruise and tour vendors, particularly for more complex and international destinations.
  • Proficiently use GDS invoicing and Point of Sale cashiering systems to process transactions, manage accounting functions, and generate ARC reports.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and quotas for preferred travel vendors, travel-related products, AAA memberships, credit cards, and other services.
  • Assist in the training and development of travel associates and provide ongoing support to team members.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files, provide necessary documents, and conduct post-travel communications.
  • Proactively upsell and promote AAA Tickets, Travel Store products, Travel Money products, and AAA Credit Cards.
  • Promote and process AAA memberships, auto renewals, and effectively communicate the benefits of various membership levels.
  • Assist with monthly inventory management, including ordering, processing, and maintaining Maps, Travel Store merchandise, Travel Money products, and Attraction Tickets.
  • Cross-sell and refer clients to AAA Insurance and other AAA business lines, ensuring a seamless member experience.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, including the Payment Acceptance Policy, Anti-Money Laundering program, and PCI Compliance standards.
  • Educate and counsel members on the use of AAA.com, AAA Social Media sites, AAA Mobile Applications, AAA Discounts and Rewards Program, Auto Travel Special Coverage programs, and current National and Club promotions.
  • Make outbound telephone calls to members and clients to increase awareness of products, services, and promotions, leading to higher membership renewals and travel revenue.
  • Consistently meet sales goals and quotas as set forth by management.
  • Continuously upgrade technical expertise and participate in training opportunities, providing support to other travel positions as needed.
  • Travel to any Service Center or off-site location as directed by management.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
Experience:
Travel industry experience, retail sales, cashiering, and/or tourism-hospitality experience preferred.
