What is a three month contract?

A three month contract job is a temporary employment agreement where an individual is hired to work for a company or organization for a fixed period of three months. These positions often arise to meet short-term needs, such as covering employee absences, handling seasonal workloads, or completing specific projects. Contract workers may receive similar duties as permanent employees, but their benefits and job security can differ. At the end of the contract, the position typically ends, though sometimes contracts are extended or renewed based on company needs and worker performance.

What should I expect in terms of onboarding and integration when joining a team on a three-month contract?

When joining a team on a three-month contract, onboarding is typically condensed to help you become productive as quickly as possible. You can expect a focused orientation on essential tools, project goals, and immediate priorities, often with a designated point of contact or mentor for quick questions. Since the timeline is short, clear communication and proactive engagement are key to integrating smoothly with the team and meeting project milestones. You'll likely participate in regular team meetings, collaborate closely with full-time staff, and may be asked to provide status updates more frequently to ensure alignment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a three-month contract position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a three-month contract position, you need relevant expertise in the specific field, a proven track record of quickly adapting to new environments, and any required certifications or education for the role. Familiarity with industry-standard tools or software—such as project management platforms, data analysis tools, or CRM systems—may be necessary depending on the contract's focus. Strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to work independently are crucial soft skills for short-term success. These competencies enable you to deliver results swiftly, integrate smoothly with teams, and maximize your impact during the limited contract period.

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~18,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for a TA Coordinator to join our Group and support frontline recruiting for a single entity during a hiring ramp up period. The position sits within our HR Shared Services Center in Greenwood, Indiana. This is a 6-month contract hybrid assignment.

What is the role about?

Are you passionate about connecting talent with opportunity? As a temporary Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will help keep recruiting activity moving quickly and consistently during a defined 6-month assignment.

Are you a Relationship Builder? You will communicate with candidates, hiring managers, local HR, interviewers, and staffing partners to create a responsive and professional recruiting experience.

Do You Thrive on Details? You will manage job postings, applicant review, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and recruiting documentation with a high level of accuracy.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Support the recruiting process and Talent Acquisition team activities to ensure we are attracting, identifying, and selecting superior talent.
  • Post, track, update, pause, close, and reopen positions through the Applicant Tracking System (SuccessFactors) and other digital recruiting platforms, as needed.
  • Review applications and resumes to determine potential fit; identify qualified candidates for phone interview or hiring manager review.
  • Source qualified candidates by leveraging online recruiting resources, applicant tracking tools, job boards, and other approved recruiting channels.
  • Schedule and/or conduct phone, video, and on-site interviews; ensure candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers receive appropriate information and timely communication.
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates during assigned points in the recruiting lifecycle, providing timely updates and a positive candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers and local HR to support open roles while providing an excellent service experience.
  • Liaise with and support external staffing agencies in the interview process and hiring of temporary or contract workers.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, requisition, and recruiting tracker data; follow global and local processes to support quality, compliance, and consistency.
  • Run routine checks across postings, candidate communication, and recruiting documentation to support brand reputation, grammar, spelling, and process accuracy.
  • Leverage recruiting resources and technologies to support key recruiting performance indicators and timely movement of candidates through the process.
  • Participate in Talent Acquisition and HR Shared Services projects or initiatives as needed during the contract assignment.

What do we expect from you?

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in any field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on recruiting, staffing, HR, coordination, or candidate-facing experience preferred; experience supporting frontline, production, manufacturing, or high-volume roles is a plus.
  • Ability to be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and exceptional time management are critical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with candidates, hiring managers, HR, interviewers, and agency partners.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude and enthusiasm for supporting the role, team, and company.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and problem-solving skills; ability to react well under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and applicant tracking or recruiting systems; SAP SuccessFactors experience is helpful.
  • Familiarity with EEO, equitable hiring practices, and laws/regulations related to recruiting is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles, candidate touchpoints, interviews, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, both remote and on-site in Greenwood, Indiana for the duration of the 6-month contract assignment.

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future.
  • Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training and success coaching.
  • Work-life balance encouraged through our 10 company-paid holidays and employee assistance programs (financial, mental, and physical health and wellbeing).
