OVERVIEW
The Raw Materials Sourcing & Production Merchandiser plays a strategic role in supporting and executing sourcing strategies and production processes that will elevate supplier capabilities, drive speed to market, improve cost efficiency, and support Alo Yoga's brand values. This position is responsible for managing production processes for suppliers in the CAFTA and EU region. The role requires experience in textile manufacturing, market intelligence, and performance fabric sourcing, as well as a proactive mindset to identify and mitigate material risks in production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support sourcing initiatives that align with ALO standards, goals, and seasonal requirements
  • Maintain supplier information and assist with managing the raw material supplier matrix.
  • Assist in supplier communications regarding material costs, lead times, quality, and capacity updates for production
  • Coordinate supplier meetings and follow up on action items and deliverables
  • Assist with supplier negotiations by gathering data, preparing analyses, and coordinating meetings
  • Support vendor onboarding and maintain supplier documentation and records
  • Collect and analyze market, cost, and sourcing data to support purchasing decisions
  • Support and maintain sourcing reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools
  • Monitor fabric commitments, usage reports, and forecast data for accuracy
  • Assist in compiling reports and insights for leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Track our WIP orders and follow up with suppliers on production status and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate seasonal raw material staging and monitor fabric readiness for production
  • Reconcile fabric usage reports and support issue resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with production planning activities and ensure timely communication of schedule updates
  • Coordinate supplier compliance documentation and testing requirements
  • Support supplier scorecard management by collecting performance data and preparing reports.
  • Assist with supplier capability reviews and ongoing performance evaluations.
  • Partner with Product Development, Color, and Production to support material production
  • Support long-range planning activities and special projects as assigned
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in international sourcing or raw material production.
  • Expert technical knowledge of yarn spinning, weaving/knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, and both synthetic and natural fiber textiles.
  • Understanding of garment production, dry/wet processing, and cut-and-sew operations.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; able to synthesize large datasets for strategic insights.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing global supplier relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives and supply chain traceability road mapping is preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
