APPAREL - TEXTILE PRINT AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually

Job Summary:

The Textile Print & Graphic Designer is responsible for the research, design, and execution of all seasonal prints, textile patterns, and graphic artworks for our Women's Apparel collections. This role is essential in providing elevated, brand-right print ideas that differentiate the brand in the market and drive business growth, ensuring all final artworks are production-ready from concept to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide seasonal print research and ideas that are in-line with the brand aesthetic and meeting merchandising need, ultimately prints that the L’AGENCE customers would love.
  • Create and design prints and graphics by using photoshop and Illustrator to establish repeats, layouts, placement, recoloring, pitching/matching colors, and relate necessary printing techniques to factories.
  • Develop customed tags, labels, trims, and embellishment per direction from Design team.
  • Partner with Print Team to source elements needed to create prints. Initiate solutions and trouble-shoot during print development to improve outcome.
  • Partner with Designer Team to align on scale, repeat and colors to optimize final style outcome.
  • Manage print and artwork projects while adhering to calendar deadlines, by working independently and collaborating with internal teams, and outside resources
  • Manage copyright release forms for artworks
  • Manage Strike off approvals and comments
  • Collaborate with Design, R&D, Product Development teams to optimize on execution and efficiency
  • Maintain an organized print/artwork/color library

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of apparel prints and graphic design experience
  • Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills must be fast in manipulating existing artworks and creating from scratch.
  • Solid knowledge of apparel development process and print techniques
  • Elevated taste and strong passion for prints, colors and fabrics, comparable to luxury/designer brands.
  • Familiar with customer profile, best and worst prints/colors across all categories. Well-versed on current and emerging trends as well as competitive retail landscape.
  • Able to maintain a constant sense of urgency while being creative in problem solving.
  • Strong time management skill, ability to manage multiple projects and take initiatives, proactive, ownership driven
  • Ability to adapt collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and shift focus with ease and flexibility

  • This position requires frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard.

  • This position will be in-office, M-F (Los Angeles, CA)
