We are seeking a highly skilled Fabric Manager for Ladieswear to oversee the selection, procurement, and management of fabrics for our women's clothing line.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textiles, a keen sense of fashion trends, and excellent management skills.

Responsibilities:

Fabric Selection:

  • Research and identify new fabric trends and suppliers.
  • Evaluate fabric selections and provide guidance based on quality, cost, and sustainability.
  • Elevate the fabric submits for our Ladieswear accounts.
  • Regularly visit fabric shows to ensure they are reporting on the most up to date fabric trends.

Supplier Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers.
  • Responsible for getting all pricing and ensure competitive sourcing.

Fabric Library Management:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive fabric library to support customer requests.
  • Ensure the library is organized and easily accessible for design and production teams.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with design and production teams to understand fabric needs.
  • Provide insights on fabric capabilities and limitations to enhance design processes.
  • Fully manage all deadlines related to fabric submits to customers as well as securing sampling yardage.
  • Closely collaborate with all the 'in country' fabric managers to ensure they are aligned with requests and are able to submit most relevant fabrications.

Trend Analysis:

  • Stay updated on fashion trends and consumer preferences in ladieswear.
  • Present seasonal recommendations to design and merchandising teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric management or sourcing, preferably in ladieswear.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and production processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for fashion and a keen eye for emerging trends.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
