Texas Tires is a growing retail automotive company specializing in tires, wheels, lift kits, alignments, and related automotive services. With locations serving customers across many states, we are committed to providing quality products, professional installation, and exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team and play an important role in supporting the financial operations of our retail business. This position will work closely with leadership and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong accounting controls, and efficient accounting processes across the company.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial records, preparing financial statements, managing month-end close activities, and supporting accounting operations across multiple locations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can work independently, identify opportunities for process improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthend closing entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Perform bank, credit card, accounts receivable, and other account reconciliations.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Analyze financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and internal accounting controls.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations, store management, and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
  • Perform other accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with monthend and yearend close processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with accounting/ERP systems. Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a multilocation, retail, automotive, or servicebased business is a plus.
