Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Test Site Parts Coordinator in Yuma, Arizona.
This position supports Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Family of Vehicles testing activities at Yuma Test Center and plays a dual role supporting both Field Service Representative (FSR) operations and parts coordination logistics.
The Test Site Parts Coordinator provides hands on technical vehicle support during testing while managing parts tracking, logistics, and accountability for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE). This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, military vehicle experience, and advanced inventory tracking skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting tactical vehicle platforms such as JLTV or HMMWV, strong troubleshooting capability, and proficiency with digital inventory systems. SAP experience is highly preferred.
Position Responsibilities
Field Service Representative (FSR) Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on automotive systems supporting the JLTV Family of Vehicles, companion trailers, and related military vehicle platforms
  • Provide technical support during vehicle testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at Yuma Test Center and other CONUS or OCONUS testing locations as required
  • Assist engineering teams during prototype and development testing by identifying mechanical or system issues and supporting corrective actions
  • Conduct operator and maintainer level training such as OPNET and FLMNET for U.S. and international customers when required
  • Create detailed field service reports documenting vehicle status, deficiencies, and repairs
  • Participate in testing reviews, status meetings, and provide daily updates regarding vehicle readiness and test progress
  • Serve as liaison between field operations, engineering teams, and program leadership regarding vehicle performance or product concerns

Parts Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Manage the Test Support Systems Support Package (SSP), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) supporting JLTV testing programs
  • Record, log, and tag damaged parts and prepare shipping documentation for replacement or repair
  • Maintain detailed parts tracking logs including shipment dates, carriers, and tracking numbers
  • Coordinate shipments of damaged or replacement parts and follow up on delivery confirmations or discrepancies
  • Maintain accountability records for all GFE and CFE supporting JLTV vehicles and companion trailers
  • Deliver and retrieve parts from maintenance facilities using company vehicles while ensuring accurate inventory control
  • Package and ship parts and equipment to repair facilities or supply locations
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and internal tracking systems to manage inventory, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation

Required Qualifications
  • Automotive vocational training or a minimum of five years of technical experience working on military or commercial vehicles
  • Minimum three years of experience supporting the JLTV platform preferred
  • Experience working with military vehicle platforms such as JLTV, HMMWV, or similar tactical vehicles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to vehicle systems and diagnostics
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and digital inventory tracking systems
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a vehicle testing environment
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and U.S. Government security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport

Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certifications
  • Prior military MOS related to vehicle maintenance such as 91B, 91H, or similar
  • Experience supporting government or OEM prototype vehicle testing programs
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools and CAN BUS systems

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 90 percent travel may be required to support testing operations at various CONUS and OCONUS locations

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work around vehicles and mechanical equipment
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in both office environments and outdoor test facilities
