Job description

This position supports Testing Services along with providing assistance to the Testing Services Department and Student Affairs Division.
This position is located primarily on the Columbia, TN Campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Provide proctoring support for all exams administered in Testing Services including Accuplacer, HiSet, Graduation Exit Exam, ACT On-Campus, ACT National, PearsonVue and individually proctored exams for Distance Education, TN eCampus and special needs testing.
  2. Greet visitors, assess needs, and respond to requests for information. Make referrals to Academic Support Services and Distance Education Department staff and campus community as needed.
  3. Perform general clerical duties including managing incoming phone calls, scheduling students for appointments and managing incoming and outgoing written correspondence for the department.
  4. Perform regular updates to the Testing Services web site and updates to the main campus website.
  5. Maintain Testing Services database for appointments and score reporting.
  6. Assist Director of Testing Services in monthly reporting, Testing Services calendar formation, and with annual data collection and analysis.
  7. Ensure confidentiality of student records at all times and be responsible for accurate transfer and documentation of test scores and exams into a database and to provide transcripts.
  8. Create and maintain updated training manual for student workers.
  9. Maintain weekly calendar for staff off campus schedule.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Support other functions and projects within the department and division as directed.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. 1 year Testing Services experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with high attention to detail.
  2. Ability to quickly assess student needs and make appropriate referrals to professional staff.
  3. Strong ability in Microsoft Access. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and able to create and edit large volumes of correspondence with minimal errors.
  4. Intermediate level of proficiency with current College adopted software and able to perform basic web page maintenance.
  5. Able to develop proficiency with all the Testing Services software programs.
  6. Able to work independently and multi-task in a high volume office setting.
  7. Strong ability to work with a diverse student population.
  8. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  9. Must be able to function as a team player at all times.
  10. Experience with Banner.
  11. Experience with scheduling software.

Working Conditions:
  1. Evening and/or weekend work for Test Proctoring will be required, as part of flexible scheduling.
  2. Visual and hand usage of computer terminal.
  3. May require travel to other campus locations.

Hiring Salary Range: $29,520 - $35,420
This position is based at the Columbia, TN Campus.
