Job description

Description:

As a Calibrator, you will test, calibrate, and compensate precision transducers to ensure they meet Taber Industries’ quality standards and customer specifications. In this role, you’ll work with advanced computer-based testing systems, perform manual calibrations, document critical data, and support the reliability of our products through rigorous accuracy verification.

This position plays a key role in ensuring that every unit leaving our facility performs at the highest level of accuracy and consistency.


What You’ll Do

  • Test transducers under various conditions using computer systems and Mensor units.
  • Calibrate and compensate transducers to meet both Taber and customer specifications.
  • Verify that test results and recorded data conform to required standards.
  • Load, unload, connect, and apply appropriate test scripts in test chambers.
  • Perform manual calibrations using precision tools and microscopes.
  • Record all required data in ATP books with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on test chambers and rotate equipment due for calibration.
  • Extrapolate data to determine instrument conformance.
  • Attend required safety and quality meetings.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:

  • Experience working with soldering, calibrating or test Electrical Assemblies, and computer-based test scripts is strongly preferred.
  • Certification: IPC J-STD-001.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Repetitive hand and finger movements.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Clear close vision at 20 inches or less.
