Link Labor is actively seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Water Meter Technicians. This is a critical role that involves the precise installation, testing, and maintenance of water metering equipment. The ideal candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a professional readiness to execute all duties effectively and safely across a variety of outdoor environments, regardless of weather conditions.

The Water Meter Technician will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks essential to maintaining accurate and functional water measurement systems:

  • Accurate Meter Identification: Precisely identify the appropriate meter type required for a specific installation site, referencing technical specifications and work orders.

  • Expert Installation: Execute the complete installation of new or replacement water meters, including assembly, ensuring compliance with all local and company standards.

  • System Diagnostics and Reporting: Proactively identify, diagnose, and formally report any deficiencies, malfunctions, leaks, or other anomalies pertaining to the water meter, associated plumbing, or system components. This includes documenting findings clearly for necessary follow-up and repair.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work site is left in a clean and safe condition.

Qualifications and Requirements: To be considered for this position, all applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Mandatory Screenings: Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation and a pre-employment drug screening is required prior to any offer of employment.

  • Availability: Immediate availability to commence employment is required (ASAP) to meet current operational demands.
