Complete District Services, LLC (CDS) is an operations & maintenance firm who services clients in the areas of Littleton, Morrison & Lakewood. Our area of expertise includes water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Water Meter Technician Job Description

CDS is looking to hire a PART-TIME TEMPORARY employee to install and repair water meters ranging from 3⁄4” to 2” within our Districts. This is a part-time position requiring +/- 30 hours per week. The majority of the work is in the field using your own vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications

·         At least 18-years old

·         Driver’s License with clean driving history

·         Reliable vehicle that can transport several boxes per day

·         Ability to use basic mechanical tools

Water Meter Replacement Duties Include

·         Driving from storage facility to residential houses

·         Lifting / Carrying Boxes

·         Using Basic Tools

·         Bending down or lying on ground to access water meters

·         Replacing Water Meters

·         Customer Relations

·         Reporting to District Office

·         Assisting other staff

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

·         Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

·         Ability to use a variety of hand tools

Salary

·         $17 to $20/Hour based on experience, plus extra flat fees per meter replaced

·         Register Change Outs = +$5 per meter

·         Meter Change Outs = +$10 per meter

·         Mileage Reimbursement for work within Districts

Additional Details

·         Working Hours to be approximately 9am – 4pm

·         Approximately 800 meters need to be replaced

·         Depending on speed of replacement, it is anticipated this position will be available for 6-8 months
