JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Test (production) activities including meeting due dates, organizing work, developing staff and cross-functional communication.ย 

Activities:

  • Supervises the testing of new and existing products and a team of technicians with thorough knowledge of test functional areas.ย 
  • Identifies issues with product quality and submits Process Alerts to document them.ย 
  • Will also do hands-on work: testing, adjust on, and calibrating and troubleshooting PCBs and/or assemblies prior to product delivery to the end customer.ย 
  • Set up, dispatch assign and monitor priorities for each work area according to priority list and Production Planning needs.ย 
  • Ensure all operators and technicians adhere to safety and ESD requirements. ย 
  • Ensure new operators and technicians are trained properly and produce quality work. ย Includes cross training on all test procedures commensurate with operator/technician capability for maximum distribution of test work.ย 
  • Perform random audits of work orders from each area.ย 
  • Escalate performance and disciplinary issues to management.ย 
  • Interact with other departments and managers to communicate and solve various job-related issues.ย 
  • Provides input to management in the evaluation of performance and contributes to the development of testing processes and procedures. ย 
  • AA Degree or equivalent in electronics
  • Must be highly dependable and motivated with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 5-7 years of experience as Test Lead with excellent troubleshooting, fixture building and procedure writing skills
  • 2-3 yrs. related assembly and soldering experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documentation and schematics is mandatory.
  • Must have good communication skills, the ability to work well with others and the confidence to get the job done under tight deadlines. An understanding of production planning is helpful.
