Job description

Seeking qualified candidates to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS contract at Eglin AFB in Florida! The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-ground and direct fire munitions. The individual should have a working knowledge of USAF and/or USN fighter/bomber tactics and employment.

Prior experience in developmental or operational testing is highly desired. Aircrew experience is highly desired. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.

Essential Job Functions: Develop test planning documentation for an emerging weapons program. Forecast test assets and range requirements, and serve as Point Of Contact for test development. Integrate with program offices and prime contractors on test requirements.

Act as test director during mission execution. Brief and debrief executing aircrew on mission requirements. Coordinate logistical efforts related to test equipment.

Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's Degree plus 12 years of experience or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years of Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience.

Active Secret Clearance. Familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental test. Experience with developmental testing in a highly classified environment.

Experience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and others. Desired Skills: TS/SCI Security Clearance. Special Access Program experience.
