Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Test Technician in Tualatin, Oregon
As a Test Technician you will:
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Test Technician to perform product testing, inspection, and troubleshooting in a restricted-access testing laboratory. This role involves working with high-voltage electrical systems (up to 690V) and advanced electronic test equipment to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual inspections and electrical product testing in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a secure lab environment.
  • Operate specialized electrical test equipment, including:
  1. Variacs
  2. Hi-Pot and Ground Bond Testers
  3. Power Analyzers
  4. Oscilloscopes
  5. Current Clamps
  6. Digital Multimeters
  • Accurately record, document, and analyze test results to ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain and update the test report database, ensuring proper data tracking and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical test failures using proven diagnostic techniques, tools, and analytical thinking.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and support a culture of injury-free operations in a Lean manufacturing / one-piece flow environment.

This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical testing, including high-voltage systems up to 690V.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance in high-voltage environments.
