Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne Factory Applications group is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and self-driven engineer to join our Digital and Software products team. In this multifaceted technical leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape new product development, serve as an expert resource for outbound customer-facing activities, and represent the voice of the user to help deliver practical, competitive application solutions.

  • Lead product development efforts by representing the broad user base, defining use cases and requirements, and validating implementations to ensure solutions meet market needs.
  • Develop deep expertise in Teradyne Digital, Serial, DC, and Software product areas, with a focus on the UltraFLEX family of testers and semiconductor device testing applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, field applications, worldwide account teams, and customers to deliver successful test solutions, support tester capability, and improve customer test processes.
  • Build strong technical customer relationships to gain insight into product usage, recommend solutions that optimize throughput and test quality, and support key design-ins as an expert consultant.
  • Support new product adoption by co-developing user documentation and training, delivering clear technical marketing presentations, and providing expert guidance on complex topics.
  • Partner closely with the Teradyne engineering community from requirements definition through release and customer support while continuously building knowledge of semiconductor test requirements and trends.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including digital logic, digital communications and transmission, signal processing, and power delivery as a plus.
  • Proficiency in general software programming, preferably .NET languages such as C# or VB, and common algorithms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate issues and recommend practical solutions on ATE platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, including planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver clear presentations on complex topics.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or testing is a plus.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $155,000- $240,110. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
