Opportunity Overview 

The Engineering Team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Engineer to work in the Continuing Hardware Engineering Group responsible for released Semiconductor Test Systems and Instruments.

The candidate will work to understand and resolve engineering related issues in the following state-of-the-art sub-systems:

  • Base System - Power Infrastructure and Communication Interface, Calibration
  • DC Instruments - including High Density, High Accuracy, High Voltage and Current
  • AC Instruments - Including High Performance Audio instruments


Key Responsibilities

  • Debug hardware to the component level
  • Troubleshoot hardware using System SW Tools
  • Perform design verification testing on Teradyne systems and instruments
  • Re-design instruments to improve performance or replace obsolete components
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and product enhancements.
  • Work on engineering related yield improvements
  • Integrate with Account Teams, Global Customer Service, Operations and Supply Line Management


Qualifications 

  • BSEE or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of Hardware Design Engineering or Test Development Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital Circuit design and/or debug
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with SW Languages such as C, C++, or Python
  • Strong cross-functional integration, organization, and communication skills are required
  • Able to absorb, assimilate and synthesize information quickly


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Ability to work with off-shore Teradyne engineering and production desirable

  • Former Teradyne experience is a plus.


Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $86,700-$138,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.


Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
