Job description

Position: Material Handler I
Location: Huntley, IL (F135 Main - 11320 E. Main Street, Huntley, IL 60142)
Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Pay Rate: $19.93/hour + $1.25 Shift Differential
Summary Description
The Material Handler I is responsible for maintaining the flow of raw materials for the thermoforming production process while supporting warehouse and shipping operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure raw materials, cartons, and pallets are staged and available for production. This position also supports customer shipments by ensuring finished goods are processed, scanned, staged, and shipped accurately and on time.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Run the TEQ Plant schedule for the shipping dock.
  • Stage raw materials, cartons, and pallets in designated production staging areas.
  • Review and interpret pick tickets to identify customer shipping specifications.
  • Ensure finished goods are properly wrapped and palletized.
  • Stage finished goods accurately and on schedule for customer shipments.
  • Accurately scan finished goods and raw materials to their final destination.
  • Move pallets and pull inventory for shipping requirements.
  • Complete receiving activities according to established receiving procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • You have experience with pallet jacks, warehouse operations, or forklifts.
  • You have warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience.
  • You have experience accurately scanning and tracking inventory or raw materials.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • You have basic math and computer skills.
  • You are a problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • You have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, and communicate throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and warehouse environments with exposure to heat, noise, vibration, dust, cold temperatures, and chemicals.
