About the role Job Summary
The Sr. Tendering Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to sales teams and conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific pricing.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Tendering Engineer to support proposal development for equipment and services supplied to nuclear power plants. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working with industrial pumps or strong pump application knowledge, and a solid understanding of tendering processes in highly regulated environments.

This role involves preparing competitive, compliant proposals, coordinating across engineering, procurement, and project teams, and ensuring strict adherence to nuclear industry standards and customer specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze RFQs and customer specifications related to nuclear pump systems
  • Prepare technical proposals for pumps and related parts
  • Interpret datasheets, and technical drawings to ensure accurate scope definition
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, quality, and project management teams to develop compliant bids
  • Conduct cost estimation, including materials, labor, manufacturing, and third-party components
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear standards (e.g., ASME, RCC-M, ISO, QA requirements)
  • Identify risks and opportunities within tender documents and propose mitigation strategies
  • Support post-bid clarification meetings and customer discussions
  • Maintain tender documentation, bid logs, and lessons learned
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal processes and tools

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in pump systems, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, a related field, or relative work experience.
  • Proven experience in technical tendering, proposals, or applications engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Nuclear pumps
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, cross sections, and datasheets

Preferred:

  • Experience supplying equipment to nuclear, power generation, or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality standards and documentation requirements
  • Exposure to ERP/CRM systems and costing tools such as SAP and Salesforce

Technical Skills

  • Pump selection, sizing, and application knowledge
  • Understanding of materials, hydraulics, and system integration
  • Costing and commercial awareness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with technical and commercial documentation
