This role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all tenant-facing approval processes, driving operational efficiency, and enhancing the tenant experience while supporting revenue growth.

Position Overview

The Director, Tenant Operations serves as the primary decision maker for complex tenant matters, including assignments, rent relief, lease modifications, and disputes. This individual will lead a team responsible for executing high-volume tenant workflows and ensure decisions are made consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with company objectives.

This role also plays a key part in transforming tenant operations through process improvement, automation, and the integration of AI-driven solutions to streamline decision-making and reduce manual touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead decision maker for tenant assignment requests, rent relief applications, and lease-related matters, including landlord-tenant disputes

  • Oversee tenant situations in legal and guide resolution strategies in partnership with legal teams

  • Lead and develop a team of professionals responsible for tenant operations execution

  • Partner cross-functionally with asset management, leasing, finance, and legal teams to ensure aligned and informed decision-making

  • Build and enhance a customer-focused service model that improves responsiveness and tenant experience

  • Drive process optimization to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve consistency

  • Champion the use of automation and AI in partnership with technology teams to modernize workflows

  • Identify and capture fee revenue opportunities within tenant processes

  • Ensure adherence to company policies while proactively managing risk across tenant decisions

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, or tenant operations

  • Strong understanding of lease structures, tenant negotiations, and legal processes

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement operational efficiencies

  • Experience leveraging technology, data, or automation tools preferred

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred

The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $150,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
