For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and operational support to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience OR HS/GED Degree in N/A with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in surveying/mapping OR Previously completed training in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey

  • Professional Land Surveyor License in at least one state in the Region (OR, WA, ID, HI)
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D of Carlson Survey
Duties:

This position will employ a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to assist the Division of Realty nationwide in the land acquisition process by drafting Land Surveyor Reports based on title reports and commitments per FWS policy for review and approval by Regional Surveyors. This position will also assist the Lands Division survey program, again nationwide, in writing contracting documents for boundary surveys including statements of work, cost estimates, and evaluations. This will be a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week for 32 weeks.

Other:
  • FISSA, MOCC, Defensive Driving - enrollee will be provided in-person or online training.
  • Overnight travel: 1-2 trip per month, ranging from 1-5 days in length.
  • Health and Safety Considerations: MOCC and Defensive Driving ? enrollee will be provided in-person or online training.
  • Required Safety Gear: personal floatation device, hearing protection
  • Safety Gear Use: While in the field
