Land Surveying Assistant

Carnes & Ekparian is looking for a Land Surveyor in Training. The ideal candidates will have an A.S. Degree or a B.S. Degree in Surveying or Geomatics Engineering.

Practical Experience Should Include:

Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Record of Surveys, Parcel/Tract Maps, ALTA Maps, Legal Descriptions/Exhibits and Construction Staking.

We are looking for someone to work in the field and the office.

Skills and Abilities Should Include:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of and ability to use AutoCAD Land Desktop.Time management and organizational skills.Understanding of and the ability to use MS Office; Word and Excel.

The position is a full time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include medical insurance, retirement savings, and vacation and personal time off. Because we are a small company with a large client base, this position will expose you to all aspects of Land Surveying in the office and field.

Duties and Responsibilities to Include but not limited to:

-Boundary pre-calculations and Resolution.-Prepare Parcel Maps, Final Maps and Topographic Maps. Manage Data (including quality control, translations and rotations).

-Field work doing topos, boundarys and other work.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some practical knowledge and get the experience needed for licensure.
