Buyer | Manufacturing & Semiconductor Industry

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative supply chain team where you'll play a key role in ensuring materials, goods, and services are available to support production goals and customer demand.
Pay: $33-$36/hour
Duration: 6-Month Contract (with potential for long-term opportunity)
What You'll Do
- Manage procurement activities for manufacturing operations, including materials, goods, and services
- Create and maintain purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
- Conduct competitive bidding and vendor negotiations to drive cost savings
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through ongoing communication and performance management
- Identify and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities
- Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to qualify new suppliers and products
- Monitor inventory levels to align with forecasts and production demand
- Analyze market trends and supply chain conditions to support purchasing decisions
- Ensure compliance with procurement strategies and company policies
- Support import/export activities and supplier logistics coordination
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier-related issues
- Assist with non-conformance and supplier quality processes when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree and/or equivalent experience considered
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of purchasing, requisitioning, and procurement processes
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and procurement documentation

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reynoldsburg, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
