Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Assists direct caregiver in the assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation, evaluation and modification of nursing care. Reports patient status to a registered nurse.
  1. Participates with other disciplines in the planning, implementation, evaluation and modification of nursing care and provides patient care utilizing skills for which competency has been established.
  1. Performs procedures under the direction of a licensed caregiver for which competency has been established.
  1. Assists with preparing patients for examination and procedures.
  1. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and be eligible for NCLEX-RN licensure exam.
Must complete the NCLEX-RN exam within twelve weeks of start date. Must have successfully passed NCLEX-RN exam within six month provisional window.
Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska RN license. Requires the knowledge and skills normally demonstrated by an Associate's degree in nursing. BLS certification is required. May require ACLS, PALS, or additional certification and/or continuing education based on area of practice.
Requires creative thinking, prioritizing, and flexible problem solving skills. Also requires the ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
