Job description

14653 - Business Process Analyst (Onsite) – Tallahassee, FL
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
  • Experience with business process analysis and requirements documentation, including facilitation with executives and subject matter experts (3+ years);
  • Experience with process mapping/modeling using tools such as Visio;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio);
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and document management;
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar portfolio management tools for intake and demand/proposal documentation;
  • Experience with business case development, including ROI/TCO analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and risk summaries;
  • Experience with translating business requirements into technical requirements.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI for executive-level reporting;
  • Certification in CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, or ITIL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Serve as liaison between business offices and IT to intake, refine, and document technology proposals in ServiceNow throughout the proposal lifecycle;
  • Coordinate stakeholder intake meetings, gather high-level requirements, and translate strategic and operational needs into actionable business case documentation;
  • Categorize and prioritize technology proposals by urgency, complexity, business impact, and strategic alignment using established scoring criteria;
  • Document business case elements including ROI/TCO analysis, cost-benefit narratives, risk summaries, scope, and impacted applications;
  • Research and document FDOT business processes, system dependencies, and gap analyses between current and desired states using process modeling tools;
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and materials summarizing value, risk, alignment, and feasibility for leadership and review teams;
  • Collaborate with the Demand/Proposal Manager on proposal lifecycle movement, governance activities, and accurate timekeeping and assignment tracking.
