Job Title: Production Operator - Glass Manufacturing
Location: Carleton, MI
Shift: Monday - Saturday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM [OR] 6:00 PM to 6:00AM
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Contract Period: Temporary 1-3 Months


Position Overview - Production Operator

If you enjoy working in a team environment, are detail-oriented, and safety-focused, this may be the job for you! Our Production Operators play a key role in preparing final products for shipping and distribution while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Position Responsibilities - Production Operator
  • Prepare final products for shipping and distribution

  • Safely handle and carry glass pieces of various sizes, shapes, and thickness weighing up to 80 lbs

  • Lift and move racks/box lids weighing 20–40 lbs repetitively

  • Execute daily run schedules, resolve quality issues, and escalate unresolved issues

  • Participate in team goal-setting and job assignments to support continuous improvement

  • Operate and troubleshoot production equipment

  • Conduct required quality checks and inspections to ensure product specifications are met

  • Wear all required PPE (safety shoes, glasses, sleeves, earplugs, dust masks, respirators, etc.)


Position Qualifications - Production Operator

Required:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Familiarity with safety protocols

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Must be able to work in high temp work environment

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

  • 1+ years of machine operator experience
