Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking an Assist Utility associate to join our team. This entry-level role is the first step toward learning more specialized positions within the flexographic printing press department. In this role, you’ll support daily press operations, maintain equipment cleanliness, and assist with production tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assist Utility associate, your key responsibilities will include cleaning all parts of the printing press including pans, pumps, mixers, and doctor blade chambers to maintain efficient operations, operating equipment such as the distiller, floor scrubber, and Flexo Wash to support cleanliness and production flow, and assisting with press operations including hanging rolls, preparing presses for changeovers, moving finished products into the warehouse, and cleaning plates and cylinders. Additionally, you may be asked to weigh and record scrap, maintain organized work areas, handle hazardous waste properly, follow department training programs, and support other production duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required, previous manufacturing experience preferred, ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions, strong measuring and math skills including fractions and decimals, and ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills to work effectively with team members, self-starter attitude with a strong drive to succeed, organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work environment, and problem-solving ability to support production needs.
