Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in new york, New York.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Location:New York, NY 10037
Contract Length: 14 Weeks (07/06/2026 – 10/10/2026)
Shift: Days | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week | 3 Days per Week
 

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, treatments, and responses.
  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • Participate in conscious sedation procedures when required.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Required Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of Maternal & Child Nursing experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of IV Insertion experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Phlebotomy experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience.
Education Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited nursing program.
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • Active New York State RN License.
  • Primary Source Verification through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
