Job description

Customer Service Representative

Prime Source Foods, New England's largest independent distribution center, is seeking dedicated and bilingual Customer Service Representatives to join our dynamic team. This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to work a special project aimed at reactivating customer accounts. We are able to be flexible on hours of work and number of hours worked per week. In addition, there will be potential for regular full-time or part-time employment depending on performance and business need.

This temporary role is eligible for a lucrative sales incentive program in addition to the hourly rate of pay.

Requirements
  • Willingness and desire to contact previous customers via phone from a list provided with the goal of reactivating sales.
  • Ability to key orders into order entry from sales notes or by phone from the customer.
  • Willingness to provide pricing to customers from a prepared list.
  • Performs account maintenance by processing account information such as address changes and statement requests.
  • Report to work on time and regularly as scheduled.
  • Maintain positive relations with coworkers.
  • Self-starter who is flexible and comfortable with learning on the job.
  • Ability to start in July or early August for at least 2 months but up to 12/31/2026 as needed.
  • Must have the ability to work in Londonderry, New Hampshire OR remotely from within the US Eastern Standard Time Zone.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Must be fluent in both English, Cantonese, and or Mandarin; must read, write, and speak.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, multiple monitors, and other standard office equipment. Ergonomic desks are installed to avoid periods of prolonged sitting.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and friendly attitude in a busy environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including proper phone etiquette, ability to identify customer needs, passion for excellence in treating and caring for customers, practice listening skills, and handling complex customer complaints.
  • Strong keyboard skills with familiarity with Windows-based computers, including knowledge of Open Office and building and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to focus and work independently.
  • Team player, proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on results.
