Job Title: 2nd shift Packer

Job Description

The Packer is responsible for accurately packaging parts for shipment and transport while maintaining product integrity and meeting all packing specifications and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure they meet specified packing requirements.
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to verify that all packing specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all required documentation stays with the materials throughout the packing process.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records with accuracy.
  • Seal containers or materials using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials to secure products for shipment.
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools to protect products during transport.
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Follow instructions from the supervisor regarding specific tasks, priorities, and packing requirements.
  • Check the integrity of parts after processing to identify any damage, scratches, or defects before packing.
  • Visually inspect parts to confirm the process has been completed correctly and that products meet quality expectations.

Work Environment

You must be able to work 1–2 hours of overtime per day as needed, and voluntary overtime is available on Saturdays. The work involves standing, handling materials, using hand tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, in an environment where cleanliness, organization, and safety are emphasized.
