Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $20–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30AM–2:00PM; mandatory OT and weekend as needed.

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a heat-exchange manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves verifying shipments, preparing outbound freight, and supporting daily warehouse and production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records for all incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Prepare outbound items for shipment, including assembling, labeling, and packaging materials.

  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and record incoming merchandise or materials.

  • Compare shipment contents with manifests, invoices, packing slips, BOLs, and COAs to ensure accuracy.

  • Document shipment updates, including weights, discrepancies, and routing changes.

  • Communicate any shipment discrepancies, damages, shortages, or nonconformities to the shift supervisor.

  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • Record shipment data including weight, charges, availability, and damages.

  • Prepare required shipping documents such as work orders, BOLs, and shipping orders.

  • Follow written instructions and spec sheets to ensure shipments meet customer and internal requirements.

  • Read and interpret work orders, customer orders, and requisitions to determine materials needed for distribution.

  • Arrange carrier pickups and coordinate product routing within the production facility.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Experience with SAP and Smartsheet preferred.

  • Must have forklift and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience.

  • Must pass a tape measure test.

  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
